The heavy-duty 18" foil is a well-known favourite in the kitchen for cooking large holiday and family meals. Narrower rolls of aluminum foil (6 & 9) are used for particular home purposes, with the 6" roll being mostly used for individual wraps (such as butter or small snacks), and the 9" roll being useful for covering small bowls, wrapping sandwiches, or lining small baking pans. Industrial use of the larger rolls can be for insulation, HVAC systems, flexible packaging, or electronics production, with thicknesses of foil available for industrial applications ranging between 6 microns and 200 microns or more, depending on if used for thin or heavy-duty industrial materials.
