What is aluminum foil?
Aluminum foil is just a thin sheet or leaf of aluminum, between 5 and 200 microns thick. Due to its light weight, good flexibility, corrosion resistance and barrier properties, aluminum foil has become an essential material in many industries around the world. Raw aluminum ingots are first smelted from bauxite and then cast into sheets or coils through hot and cold rolling processes to achieve the desired thin specifications. Depending on the product specifications, further treatments such as annealing and lubrication are usually involved.
Our aluminum foil is made from the widely used 8011/3003 alloy series. The name refers to the chemical composition of aluminum alloys that comply with the Aluminum Association system. The main alloying elements of 8011/3003 aluminum are magnesium (1.2%) and manganese (0.5-1.5%). 3003 H24 Aluminium Foil For Container. This alloy has high ductility, good formability and corrosion resistance and is ideal for the production of aluminum foil. Increased magnesium content increases strength and hardness compared to pure aluminum.

Alloy composition and tempering
The 3003 alloys we use meet regulated composition standards defined by major industry bodies. It contains at least 96.5% aluminum, with manganese being the main alloying element between 1-1.5%. Trace amounts of silicon, copper, and other elements help refine the grain structure for optimal performance.
Our foils are treated with H24 tempering, which refers to the processing stage where the thickness of the foil is reduced by 24-28% from the original thickness. 8011 H22 H24 Lubricated Aluminum Foil. H24 tempering makes our 3003 foils ideal for deep drawing, stamping and other conversion processes.
Our 3003 foils are wrapped around sturdy 76mm/152 cores to form giant rolls with an average width of 1000-1500mm. Standard roll lengths range from 1000m to 2000m, while customised lengths of up to 3000m can also be produced according to customer requirements.
The rolls are tightly wrapped with a moisture-proof stretch film and clearly labeled with full specifications for easy traceability. Multiple rolls are usually bundled on removable pallets for efficient transportation.
A key difference of our foil is that it is surface treated or lubricated and has a lower coefficient of friction, both during the conversion process and in the use of the final product. Our proprietary rolling oil forms a very thin layer that is tightly bonded to the foil surface. It is odorless, tasteless and non-migratory - effectively retained on paper even after multi-stage conversion processes such as printing, stamping, capping, etc.
If it is laminated or printed inks or coatings, lubrication will not affect the bonding properties. It can easily release nested or stacked foils without sticking or leaving marks.
